Tired of replacing them
from St. Louis, MO
Comments about Iwata Kustom Airbrushes:
Iwata airbrushes spray paint like nothing else. They are the best. With that being said I would like to share my experiences with the custom Iwatas. I have always used them for automotive art work on motorcycle gas tanks and cars because of the fine detail I was able to achieve and the small gravity fed cups on top of the airbrush. However, every single one of them I have had broke at the body of the airbrush where it meets the air intake from the hose after a year or two. After three of them, I quit buying them. I use a cheaper brand, very similair in application without the heavy price tag. The Iwata custom would be good for a hobbyist or someone that doesn't plan on using it all of the time.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Best airbrushes made,
By Purple Heart Painter
from N. Nevada
Iwata airbrushes are the Ferrari of the airbrush artists world. I bought all 5 of the Kustom Series airbrushes. I purchased them separately as I didn't have $2000 to spare. But, buying through Dick Blick I purchased all my brushes when they had them on sale and I couldn't be happier! The CS is an amazing piece that sprays great and cleans quickly and easily, the CH is an amazing detail gun that is easy to use and the Mac valve makes on the fly air adjustments a breeze, the TR is basically a trigger equipped CH and shoots great detail and is very comfortable and has a very large color cup reducing downtime on large murals, the TH is one of my absolute favorites, the fan and round air caps make it incredibly versatile. It sprays a silky smooth pattern for fantastic gradient fades, I love shooting candy colors through it and last but not least, my all time favorite Airbrush. The Iwata Kustom Micron. I have an Iwata HP-BH .2mm brush that shoot good detail, I didn't think that a .23mm micron would do much better but I was VERY wrong. The KCM is a work of art in itself. Truly an amazing brush I won't do without. My only regret, not buying one sooner. It's expensive but it is truly a masterpiece capable of amazing detail and precision. If you like detail and ultra control, the KCM is your brush. Worth every painful to part with Penny!

Iwata= best airbrush equipment
I have 7 airbrushes and will be ordering two more soon. I have 5 Iwata's, a badger 150HD and a Paaache VL. If you are serious about your artwork and your airbrushing then look no further than Iwata. If you are interested in the most bang for your buck then the Iwata Kustom brushes are absolutely amazing! I have a Kustom CS, Kustom TR and a Kustom TH. I will be ordering a Kustom Micron very soon as well. The brushes are incredibly smooth with exceptional control with H2O and solvent based paints. I paint on canvas, automotive, helmets, motorcycles, paper, models and RC equipment and my Kustom brushes are my go-to as well as my absolute favorites. I love them very much. If your on the fence, Spend the extra money and get a brush that will last longer than you will if cared for properly. They are worth the extra money over their competitors. No question. Order a spare needle as you will bend it by accident long before it wears out!
