Isabey's Pure Kolinsky Sable Rounds are made with the longest, densest, and most luxurious hair possible. Hand selected from Siberia during winter, Kolinsky sable is crafted into the highest precision fine art brushes available. Series 6227 — This brush's hair is seated deeper in the nickel ferrule, with less of its curve exposed, maximizng spring, snap, and control. The black lacquered wooden handle is made "Albata" style, which means its width and length are adjusted to balance perfectly with the specific tuft size, making it easier to hold from almost any point on the handle. Series 6228 — This brush is a slightly thinner bellied version of Isabey's Series 6227. It combines precision with the ability to hold a large quantity of paint, for long or full brush strokes. The tuft of the brush is the smallest of any — 29 mm long and 25 mm around at the ferrule; the belly is 8 mm wide when wet. It has excellent resiliency that springs back to an incredibly sharp point. Note — Brush sizes are not standardized. The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size varies considerably by manufacturer. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from a given manufacturer. see also ... ® Isabey is a registered trademark. |
