Welcome to dickblick
These are exquisite handmade pure Kolinsky sable brushes that exhibit an unparalleled combination of softness, spring, and snap. They are ideal for precision, detailed work.
Each brush is painstakingly handcrafted from the finest quality, hand-selected Kolinsky sable from one of the coldest climates on earth — Siberia. The hair is sourced only during the winter months, producing the longest, densest, and most luxurious hair. This allows for the most precise point or edge possible in a brush.
These brushes feature long lacquered handles with seamless nickel-plated ferrules.

Comments about Isabey Pure Kolinsky Sable Brushes:
I use these brushes with water-soluble oils. I use the smallest numbered brushes that easily pick up very small amounts of paint and apply it to the canvas for great detail.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Isabey Pure Kolinsky Sable Filbert:
Have not used the brush very much, but really. Like it very much. I have a few of their brushes and reall like them.
I use the smallest size brushes with water-soluble oils. They pick up paint easily and hold their shape consistently throughout the stroke. I've only been using these brushes for about two weeks. I use da Vinci soap to clean them. They still work as good as new. I look forward to purchasing more of these gorgeous brushes.

Isabel fat filbert brushes are some of my favorite oil painting brushes. They are well made and as long as you clean them properly, they will last a very long time. My favorite use is for glazing.

Since I am painting images of victorian houses, the work requires a hard edge and fine detail. The bright I purchased works perfectly, and is so much netter than synthetics because the bristles do not separate.

This is the first time I bought Isabey from Blick online. I usually buy Series 7 brushes. Be aware that a #1 brush is way smaller that a #1 series 7.

I use a #2 round for all of my detail work. I started using it after watching Kassan's "Painting a Life". It holds its shape amazingly well, which helps because it is soft yet stiff enough to fight the pressure from the brushstroke. I've used it for two paintings and it still looks new. No complaints yet.
