The finest Siberian blue squirrel is unsurpassed in color absorption, making it a superb brush for large watercolor washes. It has a large, delicate point for unique brush strokes and line work.
The genuine goose quill ferrule is hand tied with brass wires onto a natural wood handle.

Really nice brushes
By New Mexico Kris
from Albuquerque New Mexico
These brushes are really nice. They hold a lot of water which is so helpful for us New Mexico painters, especially when painting Plein Aire- it's so dry here. These smaller sizes have been great when working on smaller pieces and with finer details.
Very nice mop - but good for general use as well
from San Antonio, TX
I love the Isabey line of brushes and their pocket mop is my favorite travel brush so I decided to try out the regular version for my at home set. I really like these brushes - hold lots of paint and come to a nice point. Not as fine a line as the Silver Brush Black Velvet brushes, but very nice and these are a bit larger and do great for washes as well.

Nice and versatile in the smaller sizes
I really like these quill mop brushes. It took me a couple tries to find the right size, though. I don't love the huge mops brushes as I tend to work smaller so I ended up with the size 0 which is much closer to my usual brush size, but holds lots of water for washes. But it has a finer tip as well so I could do a whole painting in it if I wished!

Love the squirrel brushes.
By Robin the Cajn

I really enjoy using this watercolor squirrel mop. It holds a good bit of water and watercolor paint that covers a good area of paper in one stroke. The brush bristle is soft and is very gentle to watercolor paper as well. I will be purchasing a few more of these.
A very nice brush

Love this brush. Nice feel, holds a lot of paint and helps the watercolor go on the paper perfectly.

THese are the best brushes in the world & I am proud to now
from South Carolina
Watercolor obviously, Mop, & smaller ones can use to mop & detail. These Isabey mops are magic.
True to what I've read
from Richland, WA
I am painting larger piece of watercolor now, and am looking at bigger brushes for this purpose. I have never tried a squirrel hair brush, and liked what I've read about it, so I got one Isabey #14 round. It felt great in hand, not too soft to handle (as I feared to be like a Chinese soft lamb hair brush), and carries color really well. I love this brush!
from long island, ny
I do love the look of this brush - the shape makes me happy to have in my brush can LOL. It works well for washes and I have enjoyed playing with it since it arrived!
