This high-quality bristle brush is an outstanding value. Stiff and coarse, it's designed to withstand the weight and wear of oil and acrylic paints. The interlocking curved bristle maintains a tight and precise brush shape that resists splaying.

This handmade brush possesses a high degree of spring, precision, and durability, with the most hairs per square inch of any bristle brush, and an extra-thick tuft for maximum paint load. The tip allows for exceptional control. It has a long polished handle with a nickel-plated brass ferrule.

Note — Brush sizes are not standardized. The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size varies considerably by manufacturer. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from a given manufacturer.

In their price category these are really great brushes. I find the to be slightly softer than similar brushes I've used. This allows great tip control while still having enough strength to push paint nicely. I used almost exclusively filberts so not sure about other brush style but I would think the brights would be nice as well.

I love the feel. the bristles are soft and yet is firm in guiding paint. You have great control without the stiffness that makes it difficult to shape your paint on canvas.
But, is not so soft as other soft bristles are that feel like you are painting with a rag doll.
the best of both worlds and Just Right in feel, control and strength.
I will be using Isabey's bristle brushes for some time to come.
