Welcome to dickblick
This high-quality bristle brush is an outstanding value. Stiff and coarse, it's designed to withstand the weight and wear of oil and acrylic paints. The interlocking curved bristle maintains a tight and precise brush shape that resists splaying.
This handmade brush possesses a high degree of spring, precision, and durability, with the most hairs per square inch of any bristle brush, and an extra-thick tuft for maximum paint load. The tip allows for exceptional control. It has a long polished handle with a nickel-plated brass ferrule.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

Comments about Isabey Chungking Interlocking Bristle Filbert Series 6088:
from Oxford, AL
Use with acrylics. Not happy with quailty...bristles are not very full and they are very soft. Feels more like synthetic bristles.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About fifteen years ago I used these brushes and they were fantastic. I still have three from that time that are in good shape. The ones I ordered back in December 2014 are like some craft brush you would find at a big box store. The bristles splay, the ferule is thinner, and the bristles feel thin. I also noticed that the paint immediately jams up in the ferule instead of staying at the end of the brush, it does not hold oil paint well. The old brushes have "France" on the brush handle and the new ones don't. I feel like these brushes are unusable and I may call and ask for an exchange. It's a real shame and I won't order this brand again.
Using acrylic paints I used this size 12 brush for about 20 minutes and while cleaning it in water it fell apart at the ferrule and handle. Blick replaced the brush after a call to customer service. Haven't used the replacement yet.
Merchant response: We are sorry to hear that your brush fell apart. Please give us a call if this happens again! We have also passed this on to our Product Managers for further review. Thank you for sharing with us!

Isabey brushes and Shiva oil color
I am an oil painter, retired commercial artist. Isabeys have always been my favorite type of brush for oils. They are snappy and last along time. I'll be buying more brights as well as the long bristle filbert brushes. I also love Shiva oil colorI can tint them, tone them, and I think they retain a high degree of good chroma, some colors just die when you add neutrals or tint them. Shiva holds up well, don't ever changethem.Rick

the rapid descent of Isabey offshore
from Trent Woods,NC
I have used Isabey Chungking bristle brushes for many years with absolute satisfaction. My recent order of seven filberts, however, was an absolute disappointment. Apparently, Isabey moved manufacture from France to Mauritius and the quality took a nose dive. Bristles fall out faster than my own hair, splay with the first use and clearly are now useful only for "junk" tasks.A GREAT disappointment. Be sure to check country of origin on ALL brush purchases, but avoid the offshore Isabeys at all costs

what a disappointment
By Greek Artist

I tried these brushes based on the brand...have been happy in the past. After one paint session, the bristles are not holding their shape anymore and are splaying. What a waste of money.
