This doesn't work for a value finder.
from Wilmington, NC
Comments about Hygloss Transparent Cellophane:
I purchased the red cellophane for the purpose of making low priced "value finders" for my class. I had ordered a similar product awhile back that worked just fine. This material was not dark enough to filter out all the color and was therefore unusable for that purpose. I should add that the description never said or implied that it would be useful for value finders.... Just saying.... don't expect this product to be useful as a red filter. IT isn't dark enough.... more pink than red.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

DO NOT USE FOR 3-D GLASSES!!!
By art teacher - high school
from Lebanon, TN
This product I'm sure is great for other uses, but it is included in the materials list for creating 3-d viewing glasses in the Anaglyph Lesson this product is translucent, not transparent and very flimsy. You cannot see through it clearly at all.
Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to offer feedback on this cellophane. In selecting materials for the Anaglyph Artistry lesson plan, as with all Blick lesson plans, the cost to the teacher is taken into consideration. This product was chosen in part for its affordability, although in our testing, we did not have an issue with the clarity. You might try viewing the image from different distances; also, we’ve found that some individuals get better results when they switch the red and the blue sides. If you ever need assistance with products we offer, please feel welcome to touch base with our Product Specialists. High quality, just what I wanted

I am using them for decorations on my Mardi Gras Float, Feb 17. I made some look a like helium balloons and put a layer of aluminum foil as a backing, then the colored cellophane and they look real. Thanks

I bought this to put over our 30W LEDs that we use for bowfishing to give our lights a yellow Amber/Gold tint which allows you to see deeper in murky water. I'm probably the only person that has or ever will use this product for this but it worked like a charm. We set a new boat record for most fish killed in a night the first time we used it.

About Me Teacher
My students and I needed to make *colored light* with red, green, and blue filters so we could make white light. This worked for us in a small way. We were pleased with our results.
