Love this paint - use it for multiple projects

Comments about Holbein Acryla Gouache:
I've had to use this product for several school projects and now I understand why. The consistency is amazing. It's smooth to work with and is re-wettable and re-workable. It mixes well with all the other Holbein Acryla Gouache colors. I've had to buy so much white to mix colors, but it's a great value and great product.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good Gouache But Bad Color
As far as gouache goes, this one is great...it mixes well with other mediums easily. However, I did get the 'navy' color and it is sooo light...looks nothing like navy. I had to add black ink to it to make it actually look navy.
Terrific color selection but wish it were more opaque
I love traditional gouache but often feel limited by the fact that it remains water soluble after it dries. So there are many times I prefer the water resistant quality of acryla gouache. The range of colors is fabulous although I wish they used standard shades and names as well as the newer colors. But my biggest gripe is that these paints lack the opacity of true gouache and they lack the velvety matte finish. I hope this medium is a work in progress and that it will soon develop into a true, water resistant if not waterproof gouache. Then, I would be completely enamoured.

My issue with gouache was always the issue with layering, this acrylic gouache hybrid allows more workability in this fashion. Though it may be difficult to reactivate the acryla gouache compared to traditional gouaches, this proved to work for my preference and purposes! Lovin' it!

Acryla gouache I use for its quickness of drying and flatness of color. The only complaint I have is that these 40ml tubes come in no colors other than black and white.

I use these for underpaintings for my oil paintings - they work extremely well for this purpose - they don't close of the surface of the gesso, and I can use them in very thin layers to get rid of any ridges that would form with thicker acrylic paints. I use them with a Sta-wet palette to keep them workable for a long period of time.
The color choices are fantastic, and as I sought strange, bright, and pastel, I was pleased at the selection.

I am a new gouache artist, and the first set of gouache I used was Reeves. While I do like using Reeves Gouache I have to say that this brand is amazing. Not only is the color quality brighter but I also flows easier when I'm painting! I'll be buying more really soon.
