The Ultra-Lite Core Plain Edge Board is 80% lighter than most wooden boards. It has a smooth, natural basswood surface on both sides.

A resin-impregnated pulp fiber "Airtite" honeycomb core is permanently bonded to basswood surfaces for rigidity and strength. At only 4 lbs (1.8 kg), the board has a feather-light feel. Each board is 0.7" (18 mm) thick.

These are slightly different then the the two I picked up a few years back. The can splinter and chip if your not careful. Really a shame these are not made in the USA though made in China insted but isn't everything.

I had a wood Knot in one of them but covered it up with wood filler.

These work great for drawing cause they have a nice feel to them cause of the lightweight construction.

This board is very nice. It has a very smooth surface so that I don't get unwanted marks in my drawings, and it serves nicely as a support for illustration board on my easel.

With the help of your great staff, I was able to get the board that I had when I went to the Art Instructional School in high school! My board has lasted me over 30 years, and has been everywhere, but recently cracked down the middle when it was stepped on. Thanks for the great replacement! Can't wait to start drawing on it and preserving my next piece of history!
