Favorite Intaglio Printmaking Paper
from Somerville, NJ
Comments about Hahnemühle Hahnemühle Copperplate Paper:
This is by far, the best, most economical paper for printing intaglio (etching, mezzotint, drypoint) as well as photopolymer techniques (Solarplate and Toyobo plate). It's made of archival alpha cellulose, never lets us down, has a short soaking times and prints a beautiful range of values. Will always be a favorite.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It was my first time using Hannemuhle Copperplate paper. It was very sturdy. It shrinks a lot, make sure to pin it well.

Great for embossments
from Costa Mesa, CA
I use this product to print embossed holiday cards on, using a zinc etching plate of my own design and etch. This paper produces a lovely print of the embossment, the softness and texture on the paper makes for a great reception of the deep-etched plate, and shows fine details really well.
from Willington, CT
I use it for printmaking. It has some weight, soaks easily and great all around printmaking paper. Can be damaged if have to edit/erase but if careful can edit with kneaded eraser.

A life long love affair with this paper
from Hays and Liebenthal, Kansas
I am a professional artist painter and printmaker. I have been a loyal Hahnemuhle Copperplate paper user since 1970 with not one single complaint. This paper has the ability to take on a parchment/vellum look when soaked properly, well blotted, then printed under pressure with the copper, solarplate, and polymer plates I love to use. I love this paper and recommend it for all printmaking needs. It makes for a museum quality printed image. The stuff is simply beautiful. Dick Blick always does a wonderful job of securing the paper for shipping as well.

Used throughout my college years and has never failed me
By Megan B.
An excellent etching paper that I have used time and time again. Easily my favorite printmaking paper.
Nice all purpose printmaking paper
I use it in printing my intaglio prints both by itself and as a backing for chine colle'. It is a nice sturdy, easy to soak paper that absorbs the ink well. It is also reasonably priced so feel it is a good value.

"Nice backing for Chine-collé "
from Willington, Connecticut
It is a nice fairly heavy weight printmaking paper, which I find works well as a backing when doing the Chine-collé method of printing. Price is good and quality of paper is good.
