Comments about H-Frame Easel:

Very disappointed. The fasteners that hold the bottom tray and the top painting holder onto frame are of poor design. The top fastening part arrived broken. It is laminated 2-ply 1/8" wood? GLUED onto another lightweight piece of wood with two small screws to help hold it together. When one tightens it, it crunches and rips the screws and glue apart, not holding together. The bottom tray slides downward unless tightened beyond what would be considered normal. Also the joints are only GLUED, and fell apart when tray slid down easel while not in use. Being a handy person, I added more than a few screws. Even when pre-drilling the holes, the cheap wood split in several places. This is very heavy, and does not hold up where it counts... in the fastening devices. Would have shipped it back, but lazy as such a heavy piece... by now have destroyed it with added 8-10 screws with L pieces for stability. Craftsmanship poor. Pieces do not fit together... measurements off 1/8-1/2" as you go up the center piece. I did not bother Dick Blick with my problem, so do not hold them accountable... other than for selling such a poor quality piece. I should have tried it out somewhere before ordering it on-line.
