I have a few of these as the first watercolor brushes I got. Beginner, and I only have a few things to compare to. Certainly a big step-up from cheap brush set brushes. I don't think they're anything amazing but they serve me just fine. I favorite the 14 round, it maintains it's point and holds a decent amount.

I use it for Watercolour painting. I would like to use a synthetic product, but these brushes are not good enough. The bristles are not straight enough don't hold the water well, and don't maintain a point. One came damaged. Hair did not go back into place.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

After I had an employee ruin this brush, that I've had longer than I can remember, I was able to find it quick and easy at Blick Art's online site! They processed and shipped it right away. What a relief to find the same one that easily.
Solid liner for what I expected. Good springback.

Comments about Grumbacher Goldenedge Oval Wash Series 4626:
I use wide synthetic sable brushes for doing glazing with oil paints. I use several different brands but these grumbachers are the only ones that I can find in a filbert shape and hold up extremely well.

Just great big heavy loading easy to manipulate brush.
I love good synthetic brushes.

I'm a model builder and go through dozens of brushes a year. These synthetic Goldenedge brushes respond well to heavy duty use and outlast both cheap and very expensive natural bristle brushes. I love them!
