Grumbacher Academy Oils provide a full range of traditional oil colors for the painter who demands good quality materials, but also appreciates good prices. The Academy colors include genuine pigment colors as well as mixed hues. All colors have excellent tinting strength, and the whites are absolutely non-yellowing. A free color chart is available on request.

All colors are available in 1.25 oz (37 ml) studio size tubes. Now you can afford to experiment more extravagantly! Purchase the colors you use the most in economical 5 oz (150 ml) tubes and save even more!

Warning — Some colors contain pigments, such as cadmium salts, that are toxic, and should be used only by persons who are old enough to follow instructions for safe use and clean-up. Cautionary labels and warnings should be followed strictly. Do not apply toxic colors with an airbrush or sprayer.

My work involves touch-up and fill-in work. The amount of pigment in this collection is perfect so there is no waste. The pigments are true to color, hue and saturation and the balance is perfect. I'm able to mix with accuracy and find no deterioration in either transparency or opacity and vibrancy. Excellent materials and a great value. Bravo!!

As an artist I look for and expect the same fine quality in the meadiums I choose. Grumbacher Academy Oil colors have always been a perfect medium. The texture of the oils are just a little thicker than most others which saves time when you want to build layers of paint, yet it flows evenly over the canvas and blends well. I trust Grumbachers quality control too. If you buy a tube this year and the same color next year, it will match perfectly on the same canvas. Do yourself a favor, forget the rest and buy Grumbacher Academy Oil Colors, their the best.
