10 colors in .25 oz (7.5 ml) tubes, including one each of Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Sienna, Cadmium Yellow Pale Hue, Chinese White, Cobalt Blue Hue, Grumbacher Red, Ivory Black, Thalo Green (Blue Shade), Ultramarine Blue, and Yellow Ochre Hue

Warning — Some colors contain traditional artist pigments such as cadmium salts that are toxic, and in a water-soluble form or vehicle. Cautionary labels and warnings should be followed strictly. Do not moisten or point a brush with the mouth. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while painting. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and skin. After painting, wash hands, nails, and tools thoroughly.

Bought my first Grumbacher set 20-30 years ago. The paint stays soft in the tubes for years. Still like new. Grumbacher brushes and paint have been around for years, and are of the highest quality. Brushes last forever. Wouldn't buy any other brand.

I do mainly oil paintings, and have been using Grumbacher's pre-tested oils for some time. When I decided to give Watercolors a try, I wanted to stay with Grumbacher products. As I have found with their other products you can expect consistent quality, excellent price, and consistency of color formulation from their Academy Watercolors.

I like the colors and working with them. Sometimes a liquid comes out first and you do not get the color till a lot of the tube is gone. You run out to fast. A larger tube would be nice.

Grumbacher Academy watercolors are, of course, "student" grade materials. They have a lot going for them, though, including consistent quality, excellent price for value, and the long recognized Grumbacher name which assures continued availability and consistency of color formulation. I like the smaller tubes for painting and sketching on the go, and I have paintings I did as far back as 35 years ago that retain the same color and vibrancy that they had when they first dried.

As a beginning watercolor painter I appreciate the quality of the colors but, the titanium white was full of air bubbles so only about half of it was usable.
