Comments about Create-A-Color Wheel Gray Scale and Value Finder:
Thanks for offering this. I am a complete newbie to drawing and I live in a rural area with no brick and mortar art shops. I am taking a couple of beginner drawing classes on Craftsy and this value scale was recommended but your store was the one and only place online where I could find it. I then went into your shop and located all my supplies at prices that were lower than I would have expected, having remembered paying for them at college stores for 2 of my now grown kids many years ago. Thanks from this senior citizen!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Helps in drawing!
Durable and helpful
Great quality value charts
These value charts are printed on nice thick card stock that will hold up over time. They have a nice window in each value so that you can easily match your values as closely as possible.

I am an amateur artist, and I like to draw with pencils and charcoal. I watched a professional artist demonstrate this gray scale and value finder in a video on the internet. He explained how this item was very helpful when creating a drawing from a black and white photograph. By placing the value finder next the photo and matching the various features of the image to be drawn to its matching shade of gray on the value finder, a better, more accurate, drawing can be made because the values of the photo will match the drawing. This item is exactly like the one the artist used in the video. It's easy to use, inexpensive, and by using it my drawings are greatly improved. I'm glad I bought it.

This is a basic, sturdy painter's tool - as advertised. I expect it to prove very useful.

This gray scale is incredibly helpful. I like the keyhole-shaped cutouts that surround an area to analyze.
Just what I was looking for!

Amazing when you realize how values fit into and improves your charcoal and graphite. This value finder is just what I needed to improve my drawing appearance!
Perfect for getting tones correct.

Works well for drawing and sketching when you need to get all the tones well coordinated. It is small enough to be quite portable, but it does require care not to bend it. The finder is made of fairly heavy material, but it could be bent if care is not taken. The price at Dick Blick was the best. Of course save on shipping by doing a larger order!!I really appreciate the quick delivery from this company. It is one of my favorite places to go for art supplies.
Purchased for using in an art class. It should prove to be very helpful.
