Incredible Art Board is great for stretching watercolor paper — it won't bend, buckle, or warp. It also provides a smooth surface for mounting paper, prints, and photos.
The feather-light material is very durable and water resistant, and it accepts repeated stapling and taping. It measures ½" thick.

I would buy tons of these again and again. Incredible

You can use this to tack down your watercolor paper again and again! Extremely lightweight, easy to use and carry. Gives maximum control for the user to accomplish anything. It's not as durable as plywood, so the edges can be damaged, but as long as you take good care of it and treat it well it should last a long while. :)
it's strange how thick and sturdy it is, rather indestructable and is the perfect working surface for attaching water color paper.
Great Product, I will order more

I use five of these boards in my watercolors. I work on six to eight paintings at one time. In the past I used standard watercolor boards, they last forever but are expensive. This product allows me to use several boards with reduced weight and a lot lower cost. I use staples to stretch my papers and these boards work perfect.

I use this type board to stretch and hold my 140#cp Arches watercolor paper taut for painting. I use a lot of water, so at first this board was perfect: tough, non-warping, re-usable very many times. However, the last board I purchased, some time ago, was defective. The melamine surface was peeling away from the core, and subsequent uses, despite my taping efforts, did not stop the gradual peeling away of the surface. Now that I need another board, I would like to try this one again (fourth purchase), but when I called Blick's to report the badly made board, all I got was 'sorry'. I am not willing to waste my time and money assuming the next board will be OK. Because of the high cost of all professional art materials and supplies, no item can have variable quality.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I paint in watercolor, and I usually use 11X14 hot-press 140lb paper. I have two of the smaller sized boards and have used them repeatedly for over three years. I love them. The best way to use them is to staple the paper to the board, not just in the corners, but all along all four sides, with the staples close together. (I pre-soak the paper and make sure it is absolutely flat as I staple. I also use masking tape over the staples, but just to put a clean edge on the painting.) I let it dry before I paint. I find the paper does not ripple when I paint and comes off the board perfectly flat when I am done and the painting has dried. It does seem as if foamcore board with a laminate coating should be cheaper, but the benefit of foamcore is how light and portable it is. I have had no trouble with the waterproof coating separating from the core, and I do tend to slosh some water around when I paintLooking carefully at my older board, it does seem as if it may be very slightly warped now. I had to look, though. It doesn't act warped when placed on my easel. The second board, bought a year after the first one, is still flat as a, well, board. Overall, I am really happy with this product.

I've dealt with several online art suppliers. Blick has its act together. In Vietnam, we had a key phrase for our communications battalion. I would like to pass that on to Blick. "Ready Reliable Responsive"

This board is light weight and allows saturated 140 & 300 lb watercolor paper to dry flat and tight. I staple the paper to the surface and have had none of the negative issues reported by some users. I plan to purchase a couple more so I can have a few paintings going at the same time. To date I've used it for 14 paintings and am totally happy.

I have used the Art Board for many years. I soak and then staple my watercolor paper to stretch it. My paper dries flat. It is lightweight and easy to carry around. The corners do get beat up if you carry it around(to classes or workshops) but that doesn't effect its function. My original board is still in use and I am also using a second one.
