I used the gel as a varnish top coat. I worked very quickly and brushed it all over the surface of a painted, collaged panel which I have pre-sealed with acrylic gloss medium. It had a lovely, clear finish but it isn't entirely self leveling as I can clearly see EVERY brush stroke. It might work better to use a roller (though I'm guessing you'll still get a slight orange peel effect.

I've decided to go back to using Golden Polymer Varnish with UVLS (Gloss). Not as think and shiny but then I don't see the brush strokes.

My first time with this product - too wet for paper journal page....so I'll know better next time. It's really clear and glossy, though. Should work fantastic on an artist board or canvas.
