Incredibly flexible, Golden High Flow Acrylics have an ink-like consistency that lends itself to a wide range of techniques — painting, drawing, staining, glazing, inking, hand-lettering, spraying, and more. They move effortlessly from airbrush to dip pen, from paintbrush to refillable marker, and from fine line detail to broad strokes.
This set was designed with the calligrapher, illustrator, and graphic artist in mind. It includes colors typically used in illustration such as Indigo and Carbon Black, metallic colors for lettering, plus a range of mixing colors that artists can use to mix a whole spectrum. The 10 colors are Titanium White, Carbon Black, Neutral Gray N5, Hansa Yellow Medium, Quinacridone Magenta, Iridescent Gold (Fine), Iridescent Copper (Fine), Iridescent Silver (Fine), Teal, and Indigo (Anthraquinone). They come in 1 oz (30 ml) bottles.
High Flow Acrylic Marker Set
This set includes five Golden High Flow Acrylic colors and three empty refillable markers. It's a great and economical way to try your hand with High Flow Acrylics in marker form. The markers come with 1 mm round, 15 mm round, and 6 mm chisel tip nibs, so you can lay down a variety of marks, from fine to broad. Each has its own unique quality, and there's one that's perfect for everything from signing your work to filling in large areas with color. The five 1 oz colors in the set offer a good sampling of the possibilities inherent in the High Flow line. Fluorescent Pink is a unique, expressive color not found in many ink lines. Transparent Hansa Yellow Medium is one of ten transparent colors in the High Flow line. Anthraquinone Blue (Indigo), Naphthol Red Light, and Green Gold are go-to colors for many artists and illustrate the high pigment load High Flow has to offer.

Great Fluidity, Low Absorption, Vivid, Plasticy
By Emily May
from Lincoln, CA
Comments about Golden High Flow Acrylic Sets:
I use this paint on polymer clay earrings. Currently, delicate leaves and flowers. I have used it with and without the Golden Gesso as a base coat. For bright vivid colors this product is top notch. For Fluidity, five stars. Drawbacks~The more I use the more plastic looking my art becomes. On polymer clay this is NOT what I want as it cheapens the work. Especially when painting on natural shapes such as flower petals and leaves. When I gesso beneath it and then very lightly layer the paint it is less plastic looking and feeling. Also, doesn't dry with a smooth hard finish but a sort of gummy, shiny finish that I don't like. I DO however use a matte finish top coat over it and that corrects the problem quite a bit. Transparency is awesome and works well blended with other brands of opaque paints for a more chalky, natural feel with many layers. Colors cannot be beat!Product is extremely versatile and thins well with a little water, or floating agent.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My new favorite things!
By Lynn Weddle
from Bloomington, Indiana
The minute I heard about these I knew I had to have them. They exceed my expectations. This new product adds a completely fresh dimension to my paintings. I love their versatility. In one application they can go from a delicate watercolor effect to a rugged drip to a psychedelic swirl with other colors. Really upped my game. Still exploring all the possibilities.
Love the Mop Set!
from Richmond, IN
I'm an art student in undergrad, and I've been slowly but surely collecting Golden products for my paintings. I'm a huge fan of Golden paints, and I adore this mop set. It's perfect for the large scale I'm working with, and transitioning between marker tops and the traditional squeeze lids is super easy. I plan on buying more marker tips to use with the rest of my Golden paints.
very easy to work with, great color.
Great for doing paintings with layers.

This is wonderful

I love this stuff. It can be sponged or brushed on to a painting. This is the first time using acrylic that felt like using oils. Acrylics always felt like a plastic film to me and this really feels like glazing with oils.
I will buy this product and have recommended it to my friend

This product is so much better for flow painting than using water for thinning acrylics.

Love the brilliancy of these colors!
from Saddle Brook, NJ
I purchased this set to start painting "under the sea" paintings. The colors are so vibrant and the flow of the paint makes me feel like I'm using watercolors. Very exciting results.

These inks are permanent, and work wonderfully on fabric. I have used them on wet fabric to get a batik looking fabric .

I use many Golden products, but didn't have any hi-flow's yet. Wanted to try the for gelli printing, and they are wonderful! Such color and consistency we rely on., Wish I had afforded larger bottles, but that's why I order on-line from Blick. Service is fast, economical and always great..Thank you, DickBlick!
Transparent paints and Gelli plates
from Middletown CT
I am learning about transparency effects as I use my new Gelli plate. As I have no art background this is all trial and error! I decided to try the High Flow Acrylics as they seemed to be the most transparent of the paints I researched (perhaps I am wrong in my conclusion and classification of these as paints - if so, sorry!). What I have found is that they do have a fabulous effect, but I am finding the surface of the Gellli plate repels the liquid and unless you are very quick making a pull, you get small blank spots in the paint cover where the fluid has "pulled away." It's the reverse of surface tension balling up! There is probably a technical name for this, but I don't know it. I am thinking I may see what happens if I add an acrylic medium to the High Flow, that will be a shot in the dark as I know less about mediums than I do about paints! I know this won't be of much help to more experienced artists, but my conclusion is, "Try it out, I'm not going to break anything, and I may love what I learn!"
