Glazing Liquids are great for creating glazes or faux finishes on interior walls and furniture, or for glazing in fine art painting. Liquids dry slowly, allowing the artist extended periods of working time.

Comments about Golden Acrylic Glazing Liquid:
I use this product when I'm painting with acrylics. I put 1/3 cup water and 1/3 cup glazing liquid in a small container or glass jar/with lid ( for later use). I prefer using this over plain water!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great for monoprinting
from Barrington Illinois
I use a Gelli plate to make monoprints. I love to create many tranparent layers, and this stuff is great for that. I either mix 50-50 with acrylic paint right on the plate, or use it solo to pick up shadows and outlines from earlier layers. I am very pleased with the results. A little goes a long way.

Good for blending
from Elmira, NY
I compared Golden Acrylic Glazing Liquid (Gloss) with Liquitex Glazing Medium and found that the Golden allowed for more blending than the Liquitex. The Golden surface did not get glossy like the Liquitex did. It was more like a satin and so did not have the depth of the Liquitex. But the less glossy surface meant it was easier to paint over, with less smearing and less skidding. I like working with both of them, but they work better for different styles.

I have never used this before but I am still learning.
Love this stuff!
from Pendleton, SC
This really helped me get the smooth, transparent glazes I wanted. Better than just using a gel medium.

My go to drawing pen of choice
I have tried many pens and this one stopped me trying any more. Love that the nib is replaceable as well the ink cartridges very easily.

This stuff ROCKS for reflections!
from Austin, TX
I paint cars and use a TON of glazing layers to get the chrome and hood work on my pieces. I've used water and glazing medium from other brands, but Golden is the BEST. It mixes easily with my acrylic paint/ink (I use both Dick Blick acrylics and Liquitex), goes on smooth without lumps, and dries smooth. I started off with a small bottle of Golden Glazing Medium, but after my first painting (and 17 layers of glazing), I decided that the quality justified a larger bottle purchase. NOTE: If you find that you have had the glaze out for a while, and it starts to get thick, just put in a few drops of Liquitex Flow-Aid (AWESOME STUFF!). I HIGHLY recommend this product for other artists that are needing to do multiple layers. Just make sure that the previous layer is completely dry (I usually wait about 30min) before applying a new layer. Happy painting!
