Best little sharpener on earth
Comments about General's All Art Pencil Sharpener:
Do not be fooled this sharpener is perfect. After talking with the fantastic people at General Pencil they convinced me to give it a try. Perfect for all drawing pencils and the point is designed for artwork. Plus it is gentle on my charcoal pencils (even the cheap ones from China). general Pencil has a winner here and a steady customer from this day forward.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

What did you expect for less than a buck
from Savannah Ga
It sharpens a pencil about as well as you'd expect for less than a dollar. I use pencils lightly and sparcely to make grids for drawings, so this is perfect for me not wanting to break out the exacto blade. If you're wanting to sharpen watercolor pencils that cost a fortune (and your nervous about waste) or you work primarily in pencil, then I'd imagine you need to invest a few bucks in the right tool.

My students felt right away the quality of the blade when sharpening their colored pencils.

I needed a good sharpener. This is it!
from San Diego, CA
I had lost hope with some old colored pencils because every time I would try to sharpen them, the tip would break and fall off. I needed less than a dollar on my order to get the discount, so I opted for this sharpener to fill the gap. Best decision I've ever made. Really sharp, and my pencils didn't break!!

I bought these on the recommendation of a blog review that said it was a great sharpener, and therefore handy to have a dozen. Alas, it is a useless sharpener and doesn't work for any of my drawing, charcoal or colored pencils. Most leads break inside. Very disappointing!

Recruit, rahter than General...

Very bad performance due to very bad design. Can't sharpen the lead once it's out; it starts breaking. Did a poor job on my brand new and highly rated Tombo Mono Professional Pencil.

These are great sharpeners for General's charcoal pencils; it restores the factory point wonderfully! So I get to throw away the utility knife I've been using to sharpen them! A great deal, especially if your preferred medium is charcoal pencils
