Gamblin Etching Inks are made with the same respect for traditional materials and focus on permanence that have made Gamblin’s Artist’s Oil Colors the choice of many of America’s finest painters.
Gamblin Etching Inks have a following among discerning printmakers because of their high pigment load, excellent working properties, and incredible sensitivity to the printmaker’s marks. All of Gamblin’s Etching Inks are handcrafted in small batches at Gamblin’s factory in Portland, Oregon.

Comments about Gamblin Etching Inks:
I used Akua inks for three and a half years. When I switched to Gamblin inks, my biggest problems all disappeared. Superb ink. The only way I would switch is if they went out of business!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Gamblin has been steady and reliable as the rest of the manufacturers of traditional printmaking inks have gone into decline.Hopefully they continue to expand their product line and fill the voids in the market.

Inconsistent quality and horrible handling.

Since the company that my class used to buy from no longer makes ink, we had to switch to another supplier. Despite the quick shipping and friendly costumer service, the quality of these inks is sup-par. The ink is inconsistent between soupy and too thick. The handling of the product was also disappointing, as many of the cans were extremely dented. Sadly, there were no other options so I suppose you get what you get.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: We're sorry to hear that you received Gamblin inks from us that were of the uneven consistency you describe. We'd like to have the opportunity to make this right with you, and well as to inspect our remaining stock of the problem colors. Please give us a call at 1-800-723-2787 at your earliest convenience.

Really good price for a great ink. I like the consistency of the ink and the concentration of pigment is perfect for my application. Works very good on the etching plates and transfers easily.
Loving this Ink but was a mess when it arrived
from Tampa, FL
I love this ink, it's the only kind I will use for my projects. However I am disappointed with how it arrived. The blue ink was leaking all over and trying to get the lid off was impossible without tools to pry it open. Once opened the wax paper layer to prevent drying of ink was all screwed up in the can wasting a lot of ink. My yellow was prefect. I will fear ordering again me because of how my blue arrived.
