Finally, an affordable and portable linen panel! Fredrix's professional-grade, 100% archival Belgian linen panels are great for plein air painting because of their effortless portability, durability, and storage options.
A rigid, non-warping, acid-free hardboard core is less prone to tears, creases, or punctures. Best of all, the hardboard will not deteriorate over time.
Primed and ready to go, the raw Belgian linen is coated with two coats of acid-free gesso, which is perfect for oils or acrylics.

Only Canvas Boards I will buy
from North Dakota
Comments about Fredrix Linen Boards:
I love these canvas boards. I do a lot of acrylic painting and these work excellent. They are primed nicely with gesso and the paint lies nicely on the canvas. I don't have to worry about fighting with these canvases. Great value for the price.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Fredrix linen canvases are a pure joy to paint on, the colors pop and the paint flows easily.I prefer the linen boards but enjoy the stretched linen canvases as well.

These are my favorite panels. The surface is lovely to work on and the price is very competitive. I have tried more expensive brands, but always come back to the Fredrix.

I needed several panels of smaller size for classes that I am taking. Panels arrived quickly and I'm ready for class. The painting surface is great and the panel ridgidity will contibute to a good end product.

I am concerned that the boards are warping. This could lead to the paint cracking later on. I will not order these again
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Fredrix Pro Series Belgian Linen Boards
from Calgary, AB
I have been introduced to these boards at Jeff Watts atelier in Encinitas, CA., and loved them. Belgian linen is a far superior material than cotton in my opinion (finer threads), giving a painting impressive granularity. It also allows for a very quick dry within less than 24 hours and therefore does not require medium to be used (other than turpentine/mineral spirits). If you are not happy with the painting, just wipe it off, and paint another one - the surface only gets better with multiple layers of paint. Easy to frame too!

My Favorite Panel
from Lincoln, CA
I've never done a bad painting on this board - the paint glides on like silk and doesn't sink into the surface, even though it is acrylic primed. The acrylic priming opens up the option of painting with acrylic, so it's my all-time go-to surface.

Love These Linen Boards for Oils
By Paints in Winter
from Detroit MI
I paint with oils and always look for Archival Belgian Linen. I travel to a friend's studio several times a week to paint and these linen panels are portable and very good quality for portrait painting. I've tried numerous other panels from other companies and all were disappointing, the cheaper ones are cheaper and lead to frustration. Buy the best if you can.

I like the quality linen used on this panel.
