This stretched, medium-textured, pure cotton duck canvas is made with professionalism and permanency in mind. The pre-primed surface resists acidic deterioration with a buffered, acid-free sizing to protect the canvas fibers from direct contact with the final priming.

The canvas is mounted on 1½" (38 mm) heavy-duty stretcher frames, double the standard thickness for heavy-duty performance, stapled on the back to allow painting on all sides. Continue painting around the sides for a 3-dimensional effect, or paint the sides a solid color and eliminate the need for a frame.

Fredrix Gallerywrap Canvas is suitable for permanent painting in oils, acrylics, or alkyds.

I use to love the Gallerywrap canvas, but over the past few months, the Fredrix Gallerywrap canvas has had a SERIOUS decline in quality. For the most part, I was very satisfied in the canvases prior to about June of this year, but I began to notice serious defects in the construction of the canvas - some were outright falling apart. The canvases also were dirty, especially on the edges and corners. All these problems were shrink wrapped in a plastic cover, and not a result of mishandling by any of the retailers I used in a 'post-wrapping' context. I would only buy these canvases in an 'in-person' situation to see if the canvases were damaged or not. [...]
