This stretched, medium-textured, pure cotton duck canvas is made with professionalism and permanency in mind. The pre-primed surface resists acidic deterioration with a buffered, acid-free sizing to protect the canvas fibers from direct contact with the final priming.

The canvas is mounted on 1½" (38 mm) heavy-duty stretcher frames, double the standard thickness for heavy-duty performance, stapled on the back to allow painting on all sides. Continue painting around the sides for a 3-dimensional effect, or paint the sides a solid color and eliminate the need for a frame.

Fredrix Gallerywrap Canvas is suitable for permanent painting in oils, acrylics, or alkyds.

Bought four of these- a 16 x 20, and three 16 x 16's a good deal on prices, warped, wont even lay flat on a table, will not hang flat on a wall. The corner folds are very bulky, there is what looks to be a smash on one side of one of the canvases- it's dented in about a quarter of an inch.
Cheap price- unusable product.

I should have spent the extra money rather than purchase a Fredrix product.

The stretchers were warped and assembled crookedly.
The canvas was wrapped so loose that the stretchers showed right through to the surface.
The poor wrapping around the corners caused the exposed edges of the canvas to fray - on a brand-new product.
I would be ashamed to put my art on this.

Instead, I recommend the Blick Premier Gallery 1 1/2" profile canvas.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I am using the small gallery wrapped canvas to do "splash" paintings to sell in our "Artist's Market" at Art Center Manatee in Bradenton Florida. They sell quite well, and the only expense for me is my time,the paint and the picture wire!! The deep wrapped sides look quite professional, so there is no need for expensive framing. THANK YOU.

I am now afraid to order Fredrix Gallery Wrap from DickBlick or anywhere else. I have used them for the past 8 years, but in the last 3 months, it is almost impossible to find one that is not warped.

I have completed (or 99% completed) a painting on the first of two canvases purchased. I am always looking for special prices on canvases which are a staple item in my house.
The quality of this canvas has been a delight to work on, good surface, structure strong for it's size: 30 x 40, and yet light weight.
