The canvas was too loose and it is unusable, all outside edges are wavy. I tried everything from canvas tightener to water on the back, nothing helped. I should have sent it back but thought I could rescue this canvas and needed it, now it is too late and not worth the effort. Maybe I can paint a "impasto" (is that what it is called?) painting very thick to conceal the waves. I will think twice before ordering canvas online, want to inspect it first. Had to make a run to the store many miles away to replace it. Probably a fluke and maybe the person making it was new...should have not passed quality control.

This is an ultra smooth canvas for portraits and is an excellent alternative to very expensive Belgium Linen.

I use these canvas' for commission work that I do at a reasonable price. In order to do this I have to keep cost of supplies low. These canvas' are top of the line, for what I do and is at a great price where as I can make a small profit. If I were to paint for myself I would still use one of these canvas'. Service is fast and neat. No hassles, no worries.

Consistency is always enjoyed when using this product...Oils flow well and brush character is always a highlight in the finished product.

I bought a few of these Canvas' for airbrush art. They are great for that, super smooth texture. I was able to gain some great detail due to the smoothness of the canvas. They are also sturdy enough to use an aggressive eraser.

Although I love painting on different surfaces, when I do paint on stretched canvas I always prefer the smooth portrait grade and this one is wonderful. Also, it is nice to be able to purchase only one canvas in a particular size if that is all that you need. This is a big deal!

These canvases are well-stretched and well-primed, but...the weave is not as smooth as I would like, and the canvas is really too thin to be professional. Compared to painting on heavy 10 or 12 oz. canvas, this canvas feels like you're painting on paper. I would love to see Fredrix offer a heavy 12 oz. pre-stretched canvas with a smoother weave. I know that I and many other serious painters would pay more for something that is truly professional.
