Comments about Floreat Hangers:
I needed to hang a heavier frame (~15 pounds) and first used cheaper angled nails. The spike of the nail left a large hole in my wall and the nail itself wobbled a lot with the weight of the frame. After doing a little research, I purchased the Floreat hanger and am impressed by the difference. The nail is much sharper, leaving a very small hole, and the nails have held up the frame without any problems. Highly recommended.

Much Better than Others
By Physics Lab Guy

These hangers are much better than any of the look-similar brands. The "nails" are harder, sharper, and fit better into the hole in the hanger. The hanger includes a sleeve that maintains the correct angle with the nail, which increases strength. If you need to remove the hanger, only a very tiny (and easily covered) hole will remain. The rated strength is probably attainable, but use hangers rated for a good deal more than the weight of the picture you are hanging. If you use these much, get some extra nails. I would not merely recommend these to a friend, I would say, "Don't bother with any other kind."
I really like these things!

The hangers are easy to install and do a great job of holding pictures. Wall damage is minimal. Pricing is fine, but shipping is awfully expensive.
Best hanging nail and hook

The nail is needle thin and hardly makes a visible hole on the wall. V easy to remove and hammer in.

i just moved to a new place, and for the first time in my life - i have drywall walls, not plaster. compared to plaster, these walls seem very "fragile" to me, so i researched the best way to hang art - and the best hangers. these hangers are the best rated - and i bought the "30-pound" hangers, even tho a lot of my art weighs less. so far i'm very happy with these hangers and cannot imagine going back to any other brand. they're very well made, and when your art is important to you, it's good to know it's safely hung and not in any danger of falling off the wall!
Good customer service
Order was short two units. Customer service was very responsive to ship additional units.
Excellent product with great prices and fast delivery
These are really well reviewed online but hard to find. Blick had them in stock, in numbers convenient for home purchase and they ship locally within the US which was great for keeping shipping costs and time to delivery down.

I've used these for years, introduced to them by a local fine-art dealer. He's retired, so I looked around for them on the internet. Happy now to have located a solid and reliable source. The nails are sharp and slender and the hooks solidly locked to the wall, distributing the stress. Hanging pictures is a matter of seconds.
Just right for the job

Using these on stucco walls in an apartment where the landlord is concerned about wall hangings. These work neatly without damaging plaster and hold just great.

I have lots of art and don't like putting huge holes in the walls. I thought this product was going to solve everything. Wrong. I have now had 3 separate instances where paintings have come crashing to the floor damaging their frames, taking a chunk of wood out of my solid wood desk and breaking a stone table top in two. What happens is that all of a sudden and without warning of any kind, the head of the nail pops off the stem of the nail. I have been using these nails since May 2014. So in the span of 8 months, I have had three occurrences. I am now faced with taking down around 20 paintings to replace the nails with anchors and screws. Thereby making huge holes in the walls. But it's better than having everything destroyed. These nails are worse than horrible. If I could give a negative score, I would. I will say that when I contacted Dick Blick they did offer me a full refund which is probably all they can do but it's not even going to come close to the cost of repairing 2 picture frames and having a new piece of stone cut for my table.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
