I bought the 11 piece set for carving linoleum. I am working large right now (24"x36") and I don't think that I could be doing these carvings if not for these great tools. Buy the slipstrop to keep the tools sharp.

I purchased this set while looking for a large size woodcarving chisel set. I didn't find the larger chisel set in the store, but i did find this set to my liking. Out of the package, i could already see the quality behind this carving set. 4 razor sharp interchangeable tool steel gouges with an ergonomic palm handle and neoprene storage pouch with extra pockets. Using these gouges was such a pleasure. Pushing through the cross grain of even the hardest woods, was as smooth as going with the grain. I even managed to accomplish the practice sample block which accompanied the set. I give my absolute highest recommendation to anyone looking to purchase a high quality detail woodcarvers set, trailblazing with woodcarving....
