Got the grey grid notebook, and I love it. No problems with pages falling out. Dark gel pens and felt-tip pens bleed through a bit. The pages feel wonderful to the touch.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Small stapled notebooks - blank pages
I use them for personal journaling, Zentangle drawings, writing thoughts, quotes, scriptures, and other ideas. I like the fact that these have less pages than others so that I can choose a lot of different topics.

Good dot-grid paper. Glue binding doesn't hold at all.
from Milpitas, CA
Pro: The dot-grid paper itself is good.Con: The glue binding doesn't hold at all, to the extent that the glue bound shouldn't be called a notebook. The dot-grid paper is available only with glue binding, unfortunate;y.Resume:I'm not going to treat this glue-bound thing as a notebook. I'm going to treat it as loose-leaf paper (hole punch, 3-ring binder).Unless they come out with staplebound dot-grid, I'm not buying this again.

Do not purchase the glue-bound
By Art Teacher
from Travel Abroad Trip
The dot gluebound notebooks are terrible because the pages all fall out from the first use. Blick, please stop selling the gluebound notebooks.
Merchant response: We're sorry to hear this notebook hasn't held up well for you, and we're happy to help you with this. One of our Customer Care Agents will be in touch via email to assist you.
The staple bound with blank pages is my favorite sketch book. Lightweight with a sturdy cover and great paper quality.
You have one job!
Just like every other reviewer on here: bought the dotted, glue bound and the pages fall out. Of course I bought it in store without seeing these reviews first... kinda confused why Blick continues to sell this product if it clearly cannot hold up to its one job.
Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the glue-bound notebook. Although this particular style is designed to be a pad style with easily detachable tear out pages, customer responses indicate that many users don't intend primarily to remove the pages, and we've been in touch with Fabriano to convey the feedback on this style. In the meantime, we'd like to do what we can to address this to your satisfaction. A member of our Customer Care Team will be following up with you soon.
Fabriano Notebooks! Love them!!!!
from San Antonio TX
I use this product in my travelers notebook for journaling. They great for a multitude of inks and stains with no feathering, bleeding, or ghosting. I'm now going to try it for an art journal I'mHoping it stands up to water color and paint as it does with fountain pens and other media!
Paper falls out!
from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania
I bought the dot gluebound notebooks for my drawing classes (about 80) and right away, the pages started to fall out. The students complained and had to put clips or rubber bands around them to keep the paper from falling out. I would not recommend them. Fabriano has great quality paper, so I figured that these would be of the same quality.
Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with these notebooks. We apologize for the issues your students had, and our Customer Care Team is happy to help. Please look for an email from one of our agents who will be following up to assist you.
The paper is nice though...
By J Van Dyne

Well, the pages fall out as soon as you open this notebook. Which really kills the whole "notebook" thing anyway. Maybe the company should buy better glue? Or perhaps market this as a stylish envelope of loose leaf paper, for at no point was it a functional notebook.
Merchant response: We're sorry to hear that this notebook isn't working out for you, and we're happy to help however we can. Please call 1-800-723-2787 at your earliest convenience, and our Customer Care Agents will be glad to assist you!
