Up until receiving my most recent order, this had been my FAVORITE paper for watercolor, ink, pencil, everything. The way the paper handled watercolor as far as flow, bloom, color intensity, and the finish after drying were all wonderful. I had not ordered this paper for over a year as I had been getting through what I had. I just received a new order today and I am shocked at the terrible quality of the paper. I don't know what they did, but watercolor now immediately causes the pulp of the paper to raise and tear like cheap tissue paper. After drying, watercolor is very unnatural looking and unattractive. Brushes seem to drag on the paper even with the lightest touch. With the old paper watercolor and ink seemed to glide beautifully over the surface. I never write negative reviews but this is a product that I loved, so I really hope they will address this and go back to their previous formula. I don't think this could possibly be anything other than a money saving decision, as the quality is truly awful now. Strangely enough is when this paper was originally introduced with the original formula, it was a third of it's price right now.

I bought a roll of this paper for a class project because it was fairly cheap and came in a very wide roll. I thought, "oh, will this work out for multimedia projects ok since it's recycled?"

Turns out, it works better than many papers of the same weight that aren't recycled. The students were putting ink washes and acrylics on it, and it worked just fine!

I only wish that I could find these in 18 x 24 pads so I could use them for my drawing classes as well! I like the paper better than Strathmore.

I recently purchased this because I am interested in using more "green" materials. I am quite pleased with the quality, texture, and whiteness of this paper. I am very happy with the substantial weight. It has a nice tooth for graphite or any drawing medium. I will purchase this product again.
