I use inks, acrylic, fluid acrylics and all different mediums. I never have a problem. The paper does not roll up. You can rip it by hand with no problems.
Fabriano Artistico Traditional White Watercolor Blocks

Comments about Fabriano Artistico Traditional White Watercolor Block:
I use this paper for painting with colored pencil. I decided to try it out using watercolors, but found that the paint is absorbed very quickly. Because of this it is very difficult to scrub out color or blend things (which is not at all the case with Fabriano's cold press paper. Fabulous for colored pencil, but disappointing for watercolor.

I use this hot press to simulate watercolors and prints with an inkjet printer. It works very well for that and would take someone more expert than I am to discern that they are copies. The paper is a little warm in tone.

Fabriano Artistico Watercolor paper
By Draws a lot

I use Fabriano Artistico for drawings. It has a wonderful smooth surface that will not break down with erasure. I use it for graphite drawings and cote crayon drawings. If I want to add a wash to these drawings the paper can handle it and it does not buckle. Fabulous paper for a variety of uses.

Strong, consistent, and very versatile from ink, pencil and acrylic ink washes works very well.
I usually use Arches block but decided to try something different and purchase the Fabriano Artistico block in a 12x15 hot press. The glue has separated at the top after only 5 paintings which caused some leaking under the edge. I did some simple washes, but nothing wet enough where the block should have separated. I don't know if the block was just old or what, but now I feel like the advantage of the block format is no longer there and I will have to use tape to reseal the edge. The paper warps and buckles easily and I have to place my paintings under heavy pressure to straighten them out.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
