This paper in 140# is a favorite for me and several other artists in the area. It is always consistent and reacts with much less buckling and curling than other brands we have tried. With a few undercoats it works like 300# cold press. If you do not need the stiffness of the heavier papers you should really give this one a try.

I have been using both Fabriano and Arches HP for years, and while I do prefer Arches, the price on Fabriano was so good I couldn't resist it. Unfortunately, when I stretched it on my Guerilla watercolorboard, the tension as it dried was too much and the paper tore!
Fortunately I have other ways to use my remaining paper, but it's back to Arches for me.

Love this paper for Zentangle pen and ink. Works beautifully with Sakura Micron pens. I usually cut the sheets smaller to fit my needs.

I do ink drawings of city and nature scenes and then color them in with watercolor. This Fabriano version of 140lb hot press paper gives you slightly more contrast while the Arches version is slightly better for a more blended look. Both are excellent choices.

This paper is clearly in a class by itself. Smooth enough for exacting colored pencil work and strong and wrinkle resistant for watercolor work. I am extremely happy with this paper.

I enjoy using the 'Fabriano Artistico 90 lb Hot Press' paper for my final drawings. The smooth surface texture gives a warm feel to my work, enhancing the composition just enough to make the drawing "pop". Cutting it to the size I need is a bit of a chore which I really don't mind. I just have to figure out how to get that 'factory cut'.

Fabriano Acquarello Artistico Watercolour paper and block are not just for watercolors! I love the versatility and quality of this paper. I use both cold press and hot press paper that I cut down to ACEO 2 ½" by 3 ½" cards. I have used artist pencils, watercolors, oil pastels, and acrylics on this baby and was very pleased. I plan to try inks next, it wonderful to have a paper that can do it all. I will not buy another brand, I also love the fact there isn't any animal product in this baby. I have to give a shout out to Blick and their customer service they really care about making you happy and I can't help but spend hours at their website… I live in a rural area and I can't readily find my needed art materials, thanks to you guys I feel like a kid in a candy store or at Christmas morning! I eagerly await the arrival of my next package!

I am kind of a paper hound: I feel compelled to try every kind of artists' grade paper out there, and this is one my favorites. I use the 140-lb weight cold-pressed Fabriano Artistico.
How I use it: Wet! Soaked or sprayed with water,or dampened with a brush, for a loose semi-abstract style of painting. Pigments include conventional tube and pan watercolors, ink, acrylic, water soluble crayon, and anything else that's water based. This paper is compatible with water media in general. The 140-lb weight is perfect for my purpose and needs NO stretching. Ever. [helpful hint: If the sheet is wet on both sides to start with, it will stay flat. If it buckles while drying, it will usually flatten out when dry. If not, I simply lay the dry paper painted side down and dampen the back. Walk away and it is flat when I come back}.

What I like: wet brush strokes and washes seem easier to control on Fabriano, compared to most papers I have tried. It's affordable, especially at Blick's prices.

What I don't like: nothing. This a user-friendly paper that gets the job done.

I paint professionally full-time and I find Fabriano Artistico to be the best watercolor paper on the market, period. I use both the Extra White and Traditional White in full sheets and blocks. My paintings are bright and crisp every time. Plus, I love the fact that, unlike most brands, Fabriano watercolor paper is 100% synthetically sized. This means there is no melted dead animal matter (gelatin) in my paintings, and that's important to me as an artist who specializes in animals. I would recommend Fabriano over Arches any day.
