Polychromos pastels contain the highest quality pigments for unsurpassed resistance to fading — and they're the only hard pastels with the lightfastness rating printed on every stick. Blend with fingers, stump, or paintbrush dipped in white spirit.

Colors lay down smoothly and provide excellent color transitions. Use the square-cross section to draw fine details with an edge, or shade extended areas with one face. Colors adhere easily to paper, card, wood, and stone. Gentle fixing is recommended.

Studio Set of 36 — The Polychromos Pastel Set is packed in a beautiful and versatile gift box with three storage compartments. When open the box lays flat so you can see the pastels. For storage and carry-along convenience, the box folds up to a compact 4" x 8" x 3" size. The set includes 36, ¼" square by 3¼" long pastels.
