Welcome to dickblick
These Pitt Artist Pens contain the same high-quality pigmented India Ink as the original Pitt Artist Pens, but with Big Brush nibs for full coverage or narrow, detailed strokes. Each Big Brush pen contains four times the amount of ink found in regular Pitt Artist Pens.
They are excellent for large artwork or for sketching, journaling, cartooning, and drawing. The acid-free, archival ink is smudgeproof, waterproof, and won't bleed through paper.
Filled with odorless opaque white India ink, this pen has a durable bullet-shaped nib giving artists the freedom to create broad, medium, or narrow strokes with an even application of color.

These brush pens work wonderfully for my Bible Journaling. They are bright and colorful yet don't bleed through the pages. I want to buy more colors.

Best brush pens I know
Faber-Castell Pitt Brush Pens blend well when layers are applied while still wet, they have consistent and precise colors, the tips are incredibly durable, and if you are using them with watercolors, they are waterproof after they are dry. Best brush pens I know and well worth the little extra you pay!

I love these pens and have been waiting to find a good price on them, which I did at Dick Blick. I use them for regular journaling and plan to use them for Bible journaling. The colors are vibrant and beautiful.

THE BEST MARKERS
from Charleston, West Virginia
I was introduced to these pens about 6 months ago and I can't get enough of them. I love every color. I love how they draw, how the fill-in and how they flow. EVERYONE that I share them with falls in love with them. Great for Scrapbooking projects, mixed media art projects and Bible Art Journaling. When you first look at them, they are deceiving. You think they are big, thick and bulky lines...not so! They can be used many different ways. I won't stop until I collect EVERY color!!!!
love these big pens
How to use the product in different ways and with other mediums. Beautiful results.

A new size to me. Flows like a brush, it handles well, I'm going to enjoy doing larger projects!
Not a marker persoon
from Santa Rosa, CA
I'm more of a colored pencil person. All the paint, water-based, and alcohol-based markers do some cool stuff, just not so much for me. I went for Pit because it is india ink instead of the others. And once dry is permanent which is great for mixed media. I really prefer the large barrel size in my arthritic fingers since it allow greater control... not to mention they are easier to pickup from my art table. I've seen the smearing demoed around the web but am finding it really depends on the paper, especially since there's so little humidity where I live. The colors I picked up are good until I got to the greys. The warm grey 3 is light while the 5 is not even an off-black it's so dark -- warm grey 4 could be a mid grey or not. The cold grey 3 on the other hand is a mid-grey while the 6 is solid off-black. Weird. Pit does have an uneven color range since inks just aren't like paint or other pigments. I was surprised to see a range of greys because of this. I just didn't anticipate that the warm and cold greys are not in similar tonal ranges.
Pitt Big Brush Pens
These pens are awesome. I love their blendability but once dry they are permanent and the color range is extensive! I use these in my mixed media regularly. There is nothing that is a downside to these pens.
Pigmented India Ink in multiple nib sizes and 48 colors brings great versatility to
pen-and-ink drawings requiring lots of intricate details. Pitt Artist Pens are great
for sketching, journaling, cartooning, and drawing. The Superfine, Fine, Medium, and Brush nibs not
only replace ink bottles — they're instantly available for work. The ink is
waterproof, unsurpassably lightfast, acid-free, and pH-neutral. The nib
size is prominently displayed on the end of the cap.
