Pigmented India Ink in multiple nib sizes and 58 colors brings great versatility to pen-and-ink drawings requiring lots of intricate details. Pitt Artist Pens are great for sketching, journaling, cartooning, and drawing.
The Superfine, Fine, Medium, Bullet and Brush nibs not only replace ink bottles — they're instantly available for work. The ink is waterproof, unsurpassably lightfast, acid-free, and pH-neutral. The nib size is prominently displayed on the end of the cap.

Comments about Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens:
I just started using markers so I'm not really well versed in them. But I did like how they went down on paper the colors were bright and gave a even tone. They were thinner than I expected them to be but I was happy all the same.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Non-smear and permanent when dry.
from Winchester, VA
I use these pens (esp. F & M) to test the transparency/opacity of acrylic paints. I use them in page lay-out because they do not bleed thru the solvents & glues that I use. I find the "S" can enter data on sticky tabs for permanent labeling on small tubs & containers. I have used many other kinds of pens (some supposedly non-bleed & permanent) but these are the pens that work. Also, they are good for illustrative work with other media. I do not expect them to adhere to non-porous hard surfaces like dried acrylic, plastic or glass. That takes a solvent-based permanent marker.
I'VE HAD THIS PEN FOR 7 YEARS
I got my first set of these Pitt pens 7 years ago when I was in highschool-- they're great for line art, stippling, and hatching. They're water proof which is great for doing illustrations with watercolor! I use the sanguine color in medium- it's a beautiful warm brown. I have to say, the more I use it, the tip gets flatter which I like because it gives a more staggered effect this took 7 years for this pen to do this- (this is not the case with the smaller sizes fine and super fine). I don't think I can emphasize that I used this pen nearly everyday for SEVEN YEARS- only as of a few weeks ago it started to show signs of low ink- I still keep it for sentimental reasons though. So yeah-- SEVEN YEARS. And water proof!! What more do you want out of a pitt pen?!

After using traditional pen and ink this pen is a joy. The variety of lines possible are limited but the convenience of this pen more than makes up for the limitations.

I highly recommend Faber-Castell Pens over their competitors, they simply do the job, and do it well. Solid black lines, quick dry, no bleed and longevity. After years of struggling with radiographic pens that constantly leak, clog after their first use. These Pitt Pens are a revelation.Keep them clean, watch your nib pressure, recap after use and you are good to go.
Best pens ever
By Another Artist
These are the best pens ever, they do not bleed through on the other page, no matter how thin the paper is, they are the only pens that I have found that dont bleed through, I love them for that.I am going to order more and more.
Best pen on the market

I use these pens to write in my art journal. They write on acrylic paint, gel medium, glued paper, and plastic. They are light-fast and archival. Dick Blick's price is sensational compared to retail stores. These pens last a long time. I've had most of my pens for years. Store them flat!

If you like to draw ... or, as I do, doodle, these are the best pens out there. They last longer than others, if you remember to keep junk off the tips. In short, they are fantastic!
best black non-bleed pen

I love these pens. I can write in a notebook and they won't bleed through. But they are as black as India ink!
I use these daily
