Faber-Castell's Grip Pencils are a really significant improvement over conventional wooden-case pencils. They combine an ergonomic triangular shape with a soft-grip zone. The result is more comfortable and tireless writing.
The lead is break-resistant, dermatologically tested, and easy-to-sharpen. It is available in five grades of hardness — 2B is the softest, while 2H is the hardest. Pencils are pre-sharpened.

Comments about Faber-Castell Grip Pencil:
Grips on a pencil seem unnessasary (my opinion) they feel light and somewhat cheap. They do draw though just like a drawing pencil should,I bought 2H,B and 2B.I will most likely stick with 9000s or Stadler, nothing special.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love these pencils!
from Jacksonville, FL
I have been doing a lot of college algebra, these pencils are easy to grip and comfortable to hold. The don't smudge ( my left handed cousin loves these after I gave him one to try). The grips helps to keep from slipping( if you are an avid lotion user). I like a fine point and these stay pointy sharp for a long time so I can write for a long time without stopping to sharpen. This also helps to extend the life of the pencil. Really nice.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I LOVE THESE PENCILS!!
from Tampa Florida
My children really think these pencils are cool. I love the fact that they don't have erasers and yet are perfect for young children with the grip feature. The children really think they are using "real artist pencils."
Bargain Eraser-tipped HB
from Huntsville, AL
The triangular cross-section is ideal for a standard three-point grip, enhanced by the friction grip dots. The eraser-tipped HB's are a great bargain now. It is "2 1/2 = HB", and it is a little harder than the usual American No. 2 pencil, but I prefer such a hard pencil that does not need sharpening so often. The tropical wood lacks the smell of incense cedar, but it is strong and fine grained and works well.

I use the pencil for office work. The triangular shape and gripping bumps make the pencil very comfortable to hold. The lead feels and looks perfect.

Best Writing Pencil
from Sacramento, CA
The triangular shape is just perfect for how I grip a pencil. The quality of the wood, graphite and "grip points" is top notch. Because I make a lot of notes every day in my job I really appreciate a quality pencil and this is the best I've ever come across. I first came across them in Germany about 10 years ago and found only a cheap knock-off here. I was very glad to see that I could finally get them in the US as a reasonable price.

I have always prefered Faber's for sketch pencils...Have been using them for years. I decided to try these new design special grip type. They are far more comfortable in the hand and provide a sure grip over long periods of time. A welcome change to a great pencil.
