The Tadami brush from Escoda is one of the finest crafted brushes in the world. The synthetic mongoose filament simulates the feel of mongoose hair, which has been a favorite of painters for centuries.
The brush head is stiffer than most synthetics, so it can handle thicker paint, yet it still holds a remarkable point. The brush maintains its shape because Escoda's special curing process ensures brush resiliency.
The short grayish brown lacquered handle offers greater control for closer, detailed work and compactness for travel.
Note — Brush sizes are not standardized. The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size varies considerably by manufacturer. Since fine art brushes are hand crafted, expect some variation even among brushes from a given manufacturer.
Comments about Escoda Tadami Synthetic Mongoose Short Handle Round Series 1482:
Talk about holding its point... this brush has them all beat. I've even tried random sloppy lining and this brush just seems to want to take the lead and take it back on course. It holds an incredible amount of paint and releases evenly through to a fine point that looks as if it came from a fine quill fountain pen. Another "synthetic" that's won my heart after a lifetime of pure red sable. This is the easy winner!
