Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? The Modernista Tadami brush from Escoda is one of the finest crafted brushes we've seen. The synthetic filament is designed to simulate the feel of mongoose hair, a favorite of painters for centuries.
The brush head is stiffer than most synthetics, but it holds a remarkable point and isn't as stiff as a bristle brush. It's perfect for oil and acrylic in most any consistency.
Escoda's curing process creates a brush head that consistently snaps back to its original shape. The gray-black lacquered wood handle is triple crimped to the nickel-plated brass ferrule.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.
Long and Short Handles — Long handles are recommended for easel style painting, while short handles are recommended for table-top painting where the artwork lies flat, especially with water media.

Comments about Escoda Modernista Tadami Synthetic Mongoose Filbert Long Handle Series 4060:
Best synthetic brush I have used for acrylic paints. Just the best. Smooth, well made. Escoda makes the best synthetic brushes. I have a 12 Versatil round, 30 Primera bright and 24 filbert, and 16, 10, 6 Modernista filberts. These are the best synthetic brushes I own. I have some Winsor and Newton and da Vinci as well, but the Escoda brushes put these other brushes to shame. They hold up the longest, and do what I want them to do on paper, board, and canvas.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Escoda Modernista Tadami Angular:
I use this brush for portrait painting and have found that I can do the larger and detailed work with a single brush

While I'm not well versed in all-things-brushes, I've been very happy using this brush for gouache paintings. I like the control the stiffness provides, and the point always returns. I bought these to replace brushes that were damaged – and actually much prefer them!
The perfect brush!

These brushes have been a game changer for me. They are made incredibly well and from top quality materials. You will recognize their superiority to other brushes immediately. Even after months of use they hold their shape. Escoda brushes in general are a joy to use. After experiencing problems with other brands, I am slowly making the switch to all Escoda brushes in my arsenal.

So easy to work with and clean. Excellent qualities. Not quite as stiff as the Primera Teijin. The rounds are great for detail and the filberts good for coverage plus detail.

I use them with fluid acrylics. They hold paint well and the angle brushes are great for the geometric work I do. Only complaint it that they loose their sharpness after about 3 weeks of heavy use (4-6 hours a day). Still usable but not in tight corners.
The Escoda family is known for crafting some of the finest brushes available. The Modernista is a synthetic bristle designed to replicate the feel of a Mongoose natural hair brush. See why these brushes are a great choice for acrylic and oil painters.
