Escoda Barroco Toray Gold is perhaps the finest quality synthetic fiber available for artists working with acrylics and oils. Slightly stiffer than the Toray White, it keeps an excellent point and edge for a soft, yet controlled application. Escoda cures the brush hair, resulting in remarkable spring and resilience. The handle is green and the ferrule is nickel-plated brass. Nylon filaments vary in diameter to allow for a more natural point and appearance. Cat's Tongue — The "Cat's Tongue" is a pointed filbert with more edges than the typical, almond shaped filbert. Popular in Europe, it allows you to create lines and points with different weights. Note — Brush sizes are not standardized. The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size varies considerably by manufacturer. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from a given manufacturer. see also ... ® Escoda is a registered trademark. |
