I would begrudgingly buy again.

Comments about Elmer's Painters Paint Markers:
I use these paint pens on wood signs, mostly. They're fantastic at first, but then they nose dive before the end of my project. I've had issues with them becoming watery, so I shake the pen and push in the tip to get more paint to come through and it all globs out and makes the process tedious to simply get back to writing. They're the best paint pen I've come across, though, until they decide to stop working smoothly. I love the fine and ultra fine tip pens.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased two Navy paint pens. When first opened, one of them was great. About a minute after writing, the Navy started looking more like a "true blue" color. I capped it and shook it up and re-tested, but the color was still true blue and not Navy. I opened the second pen and it was Navy, as it should be. Unfortunately I can't use it because I will need both pens for the project and can only use one. I wrote "not Navy" with the pen hat changed colors, and "Navy" with the second pen to show the clear color difference.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with these markers. The images you included are instructive, and they indicate that the issue is with color saturation — either the marker needs to be shaken and primed further, or the ink may have been low to begin with. We'd like to work with you to make sure the markers you've received from us are of the quality we expect, and one of our Customer Care Agents will be in touch soon to help.
Exactly what was wanted.

My daughter used this on treated wood and it works exactly how she wants. It was a gift to her along with the bamboo easel for her project. She is VERY pleased with your products and the time element involved from shipping to receiving the order. AND I thank you.
I've bought these several times
I use these markers to paint the letters on my tires. It lasts a good while. Great product.

These markers never fail me - love that they can be used on many different types of medium. Nice array of colors as well.
Really great markers!
My daughter wanted basic markers for a school project and wanted to save her pricier art markers. These were affordable and worked really well on poster board.

I tried using these overtop speedball water-based block printing ink. The chemical makeup of the paint in these pens is a solvent for that, so it pulled up the paint while I was trying to write on top of it. not impressed with that. Also they are a little more translucent than I would prefer, but overall still what I would consider an opaque pen. Another biff I had was that the ultra fine pen (I bought all the sizes) would leak extra ink out of its tip as I was using it. Upon closer observation, pretty sure the tip was bent a little or had gotten messed up somehow. I might buy these again, but I'll try Sakura brand next time.
Merchant response: The Speedball Ink is water-soluble, and you've correctly discovered that water-based markers won't overlay well. However, it sounds like one of the markers you received may have been defective. Please give us a call at 1-800-723-2787 so we can take care of that for you.
Service was great

I was unable to find any brown paint pens in my area. I ordered 10 and 7 were on backorder. They immediately shipped the 3 in stock, and then shipped the other 7 as soon as they were available. I will be placing more orders with Blick!
