Comments about Economy Tool Kit:
We order these by the hundreds each year for out classes, and they do the job. Good kit, solid, and we'll continue to use 'em.

Great Toolset for Beginning to learn ceramics
from Jackson, MS
I'm learning ceramics, so I bought the tool set in order to work with throwing. This tool set seems to be a great starter set, and it could be that it's great for the longer term too.

Not very useful
from Boston, MA
I bought this being a newbee to polymer clay sculpting. I found most of the tools useless for my needs except for the needle and the sponge.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: At Blick we always attempt to provide the best information possible to our customers. In this case, we would advise that the Economy Tool Kit features tools useful for wheel-thrown ceramics rather than sculpting polymer clay. If you ever have specific questions regarding our products or how to use them, please contact our Product Information Department at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (800) 933-2542. By Disgruntled Student
I had to have this kit for my ceramics class, along with a fettling knife and a serrated rib. We didn't start using this kit until we started throwing during the second half of the semester. I've thrown prior to this class, but just used communal pottery tools. Both ends of the ribbon tool broke off, the loop tool bent out of shape very easily, the wire cutter broke, and the needle tool broke. Needless to say, I have to buy different tools for next semester.
