I ordered a couple of these brushes in size 2 Round along with several other items. Initially they were great. A good balance of softness and spring, excellent points, etc. Prematurely, I ordered about a dozen more based on my initial response. However, by the time the new brushes arrived, the originals were starting to deteriorate. Shedding and broken hairs were the problem. I have attached a photo showing two brushes, one new and the other after about two months of use.

Another curiosity is that the brushes are wildly irregular. Again, I ordered several of the same size and within that batch the brushes varied almost an inch in length and some arrived with bent ferrules.

Fortunately Blick's customer service is unparalelled and they promptly replaced several defective brushes. Unfortunatley, Dynasty's brushes did not perform.

Blick's Master Synthetic rounds are an excellent replacement for these.

Great brush - excellent for defining corners and edges. Stiff enough to move oil paint but soft enough to blend.

my mentor said it was a great brush. i love the way the strokes feel. one thing that i noticed, though, is that it does not resist wear and tear so well. perhaps it is just me, being too rough with it when i clean it.
