Welcome to dickblick
The same concentrated watercolor as in the well-known sets, but available individually in glass bottles.
Dr. Ph. Martin's colors are primarily formulated for graphic arts work on paper surfaces intended for reproduction, and are especially popular for airbrushing. Like all aniline dye base colors, they are fugitive when exposed to direct sunlight over time.
Bottles contain ½ oz (15 ml) of liquid watercolor, and include an eyedropper.

Vibrant Colors that cant be beat!
from Aumsville, Oregon
* I use them for airbrushing backgrounds for fine art. I also have started using them as a glaze of sorts over colored pencil to liven up any colors that need a boost.* For airbrushing...they are PERFECT! They flow like a thin ink with NO clogging, and very little tip dry if any (I think I just clean it out of habit). They flow so smoothly our of my airbrush, which makes it incredibly easy to paint skies and water and yet still keep that luminous look that sells the effect. *The Colors are magical! First thing I did was create a color chart so I could see how they keep their color when they dry. I will add it here for others to view the rich colors available. In fact the ONLY negative (but not really) thing I can say is that they are not lightfast. But for those artists out there like me, first I make mostly prints of my work so lightfastness isn't an issue, second all you have to do is put the original behind UV glass and problem fixed! So truly it's not even a drawback. Below is a sample of work I did using Dr. Ph. Martins Concentrated watercolors for the airbrushed background, as well as for tinting the coral and fish. And as promised...the color chart. I purchased the entire set so this is all of them. Great value though, after using them the first time I realized how much further they go than traditional airbrush paints. I would guess I used less than 25% of what I normally would have used, and with richer color too!

I am absolutely in love?! I have been a huge fan of watercolors and I personally just love working with really saturated and vivid colors. It's sometimes difficult or really time consuming to build layer upon layer to get that satisfying vividness. I was really impressed with the color payoff. A little goes a long way too! Be gently with how firmly you squeeze that dropper!I started out with three colors, and I'll play around with these. I absolutely love them. They were worth every single cent! Can't wait to get a few more in the near future!
best watercolor ever

These watercolors have such brilliance and vibrancy.
"A little drop goes a long way." I have read people saying that and they are right. I love my set A and C Dr.Ph.Martin's radiant watercolor sets. I'm planning on buying the rest of the remaining sets. I use this product on water color paper, mix media paper and canvas. The color are sooooo bright and vibrant colors. I have no regrets buying them. Lol! But one little tiny issue with them. All the pinks colors are the same. I have no problem with this cause I dont like the color pink and don't really use it. But for someone who likes pink, will be disappointed.

I purchased a few colors to try out, and they are fantastic. Can't wait to try more colors! I like to mix a drop or two with my pan watercolors to pump up the intensity.
More like a stain than a watercolor
I purchase a couple of pretty colours, but with using them I did not like the solid stain they produce, I wanted more shading and not so flat covering. Probably better for strong colour projects but not for soft watercolor transparencies.
That's Good Stuff

this is my first artist-grade set of watercolour, and we splurged to get all the sets at once. the colours are vibrant and all very different (except for the pinks which ill get to later) they are fun to mix and use. the bad things about it was the pinks all sort of look the same to me, despite there being many of them. the other thing was one of my caps were defective on the Violet paint jar and now my skin and desk are all stained violet. not a deal breaker though! i love them a lot and look forward to doing more with them in the future. i notice theyre a great pair with copic markers!

I find this product the easiest and most proficient way to watercolor in the manner that I express myself. Blick provides you with a "current" bottle that has not been sitting around on a shelf somewhere and then wraps and packs it in a manner whereby it has no chance of being damaged in transit. Hats off to Blick for offering the finest Dr. Ph Martin's Watercolor available! You will love this product!
