IT DOESN'T GETTING ANY WORSE THAN THIS!

Comments about Kultur Films Discovery of Art DVDs:
Do not walk, RUN from this series. One of the most poorly produced videos on the market - it doesn't deserve to be on the market. Example... The video on Michelangelo opens with footage of the Sistine Ceiling shot BEFORE its restoration in the 80s! How hard would it be to use current footage? To make matters worse, the music used as the score is Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony... Does anyone see the disconnect here??? Finally, the picture is weak, the cuts are haphazard, and the voice over is lackluster, badly cut, full of room noise and annoying breaths. There is no script to speak of - it was as if the narrator opened a World Book encyclopedia and began reading. A second grader could have created a better video. How this one ever made it to market is beyond me. If you want to scare children away from art, or if you just want to waste an afternoon on white noise burlesquing as art, you might put this on your list. If you're looking for something worthwhile, go anyplace - anyplace else.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
