Comments about Daylight Triple Bright Lamp:

Being very excited to receive this lamp, I was sorely disappointed when I figured out this lamp does not work with drafting tables (the adjustable kind that tilt). The base of the adjustable lamp arm has a post about 3 in. long, that fits into a hole in the clamp. (The lamp with its arm, and the clamp are two separate pieces that come apart without any effort.) It is a snug enough fit to not worry about it falling out, but it is not fixed securely in there in any way, so if the table is tilted then the whole lamp will swing forward no matter now you adjust the arm. This lamp is meant to attach to flat surfaces only. For spending this much money on a quality lamp I am disappointed in this simple oversight that makes is incompatible with my tilted table. (Especially since it is marketed to artists). As an artist who enjoys using a drafting table for its ergonomic superiority, I feel like this is a simple, overlooked feature this lamp is missing. What a bummer. In addition, the lamp I received is defective. There is a quiet buzzing sound coming from the lamp. It isn't loud enough (at this point) for me to want to go through the trouble of returning it and waiting for a new one though. I will wait a couple more days to see if it is worth keeping.

Very pleased, bright clear light and covers large work area. Exactly what I wanted. And even swivels to a perpendicular work surface that I hadn't even planned on, great to not have to move the lamp or unplug it to cover this secondary work area.

The quality of light from this is a clean, bright white light which is nice. For it's size it does not give as much light as I thought it would. Over all I was quite satisfied with it but the buzz from this just drives me crazy.

Initially, I winced a bit at the price, but after clamping this lamp to my drawing table and working under the bright, crisp clean light it produces, I feel it is well worth it. Unlike many other lamps, this one lights up my entire table with ease. Sure, there are cheaper lamps, but typically you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a quality lamp, look no further.

The only reason I did not give this lamp the top rating is that one cannot state that something is the "Best" without sampling all the competing items. That said one will not go wrong purchasing this lamp. We have ours mounted on a drafting table that my wife and I both use for arts and crafts projects. The lamp put a really nice bright white light were you need it. It is solidly built. A great value in my opinion exhibiting that there is a correlation between between quality and price.
