Thomas and Richard Rowney began manufacturing artist's colors in England more than 200 years ago. Daler-Rowney's Georgian Oils have been the UK's best-selling oil colors for decades, and now they've gained a reputation around the world. Now more than half the output from the company's color factory in Bracknell, England, goes overseas.

This high quality line of color is produced at a uniform and economical price. Daler-Rowney Georgian Oil Colors are ideal for use with a knife or a brush, allowing for a variety of effects to be achieved. Every batch is matched for color and texture against exacting standards to ensure they will perform perfectly anywhere in the world, from the Amazon to Antarctica.

Daler-Rowney's Georgian Oils are made in the same way as Rowney's Artist Oils, to the same high standards. The main difference between them lies in the choice and strength of pigments.

Jumbo Set — This set contains nine 120 ml tubes of Georgian Oil Colors, including Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Red, Coeruleum, Ultramarine, Sap Green, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, and Ivory Black.

I haven't used many different brands, so I can't offer a great comparison, but I can say that I use these paints for the majority of my paintings and I am very pleased. The paints always seem stable (no separation) - even some of the older paints. I've noticed that with other brands' paints the pigment separates from the oil. Smooth, good color, easy to mix and thin for glazes. Like I said, I don't know how more expensive brands compare, but these seem an especially good value for the price.

After painting with acrylic's for 40 years I wanted to just try oil's to what it was like!! After using Daler Rowney Georgian oil's, I'm hooked, I'll never go back. The ease and flow of the product are fantastic, and the color blending is outstanding. The longer drying time is hard to get used to, but using these paints is pure joy!

I have used different oil paint brands, including Gamblin. For its price and quality, Georgian oils are great- especially if you want to use thick layering techniques, palette knife and impastos. These paints mix well with little use of solvents or media. Laying down thick strokes eats up a good deal of paint, so these paints are good value and they are artist quality. With great color selection, I Definitely recommend it.
