FW Artists Ink is an acrylic-based, pigmented, water-resistant ink in a range of 38 colors, all of which have either a three-star or four-star rating for permanence.
Such a high degree of lightfastness over such a range of fully intermixable colors makes them ideal for use by artists in the production of pictures for permanent display. (Note – Fluorescent colors are not lightfast.)
Colors can be substantially diluted to achieve the most subtle of tones, very similar in character to watercolor. Such washes will dry to a water-resistant film and successive layers of color can be laid over them in a highly predicable manner.
FW Artists Inks work well with airbrushes, dip pens, technical pens, and brushes. Select colors are available in both 1 oz and 6 oz sizes. The dropper from the 1 oz size also fits the tops of the 6 oz bottles.
Neon Colors, Set of 6
This set of six 1 oz (30 ml) bottles contains every fluorescent color in the line, including Fluorescent Red, Fluorescent Yellow, Fluorescent Green, Fluorescent Blue, Fluorescent Orange, and Fluorescent Pink. (Note – Fluorescent colors are not lightfast.)
Primary Colors Set
This set of six 1 oz (30 ml) bottles contains Lemon Yellow, Process Magenta, Process Cyan, Sepia, Emerald Green, and Scarlet.
Shimmering Colors Set
This set of six 1 oz (30 ml) bottles contains Shimmering Blue, Shimmering Red, Shimmering Green, Shimmering Gold, Velvet Violet, and Black (India).

An extremely versatile product
I use acrylic inks to paint onto cotton fabric, which I then quilt. These inks can be used full strength for saturated colors, or diluted with water for a watercolor effect. Because they are not paint, you can take advantage of their transparency, using them to apply washes to slightly alter hues already laid down. An unlimited variety of hues can be attained by mixing colors. They can also be thickened with aloe vera gel, to give them more paint-like body and control. The colors are permanent on fabrics when let to dry for a week and then heat set with an iron--afterward, they can be laundered. I have also mixed them with other makers' mediums, to very positive effect. One of the best things about these inks is that on fabrics they can be substituted for dyes, because they are transparent, and also they can be used to "dye" polyester fabrics. Colors that include white, of course, are not as transparent. Generally I lay my fabric onto a plastic sheet for painting; the plastic can be (mostly) cleaned of ink residue by using isopropyl alcohol, or a lye-based soap bar.

Great for use in my art journal...the water resistant quality makes them easy to layer
Great for airbrushing and detail painting!

I have been using these inks for years to create paintings on illustration board. These acrylics work well right out of the bottle but require multiple layers for opaque colors. They are incredibly easy to blend and their transparent, thin, body makes for great color gradations. Recently I started using these inks through an airbrush. While they are not as good as specific airbrush ink, they are able to be thinned down enough to work well.

Kids loved the neon colors! They were great for multimedia, printmaking and blowing with a straw.
Lots of fun to use!
from Philadelphia, Pa.
I never used inks before in my work and found this lots of fun to use for making drips and adding bright color. I like that they have an eyedropper in them. I thought the price was good. I don't know if they fade or not but really give pop to your work , at least in the colors I bought. I would like to get more colors. Next paycheck, maybe!
Love the acrylic inks, love to play with them!

I use the inks to start my under painting. They are lots of fun to work with and amenable to a variety of mediums.
Great Ink to use on Mixed Media Projects
By Shari Paints

Separates and is tedious to shake up. Once mixed, it doesn't separate while I'm working at it. It behaves well over acrylics, mediums and other paints.
neon, not for me!
i hoped to use these as a brilliant (color wise) alternative to hydrus. i know from reading reviews that some people love these, but they are not for me. the colors are not as brilliant as i'd hoped, and the blue is very thin and completely lacks color potency. in short, these were a disappointment. i am taking the remainder of all the bottles to the thrift store.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
