Cryla Artists' Acrylic paints were first introduced by Rowney & Company in 1963 and pioneered the use of artists' acrylics in Europe. The Cryla line has since been revamped to use the very purest pigments available and offer a full palette of vibrant contemporary colors as well as historic colors.

The Cryla Artists' Acrylics range includes colors used by the Old Masters, specific primary shades, and contemporary colors containing modern pigments. A very heavy-bodied color with a high load of permanent, lightfast pigments, and a uniform eggshell finish across all the colors in the range, Cryla's unique, buttery feel allows the paint to hold brushstrokes and palette knife impressions. It is ideal for creating impasto effects.

Cryla is waterbased and can be thinned with water if a flowing or thinner consistency is desired, and mixed with many mediums to create a wide range of effects.

A high-quality acrylic co-polymer is used in Cryla's manufacture, preventing any shift in color from wet to dry. The final film is permanent, lightfast, water-resistant, and very flexible, withstanding the natural flexing of canvas and wood panels.

Brushes should be cleaned with soap and water immediately after use, as Cryla cannot be rewetted after it dries.
