Characterized by a velvet-smooth mark and a firm consistency, Artists’ Square Pastels are made using a carefully prepared blend of pure pigments. They can be used to produce broad, flat areas of color and detailed line work with equal success. The 24 colors in the range include earth colors, blacks, and shades of gray — ideal for sketching.

Each pastel measures 2½" long × ¼" wide (63 mm × 8 mm).

Gray Selection, Set of 12 — This set contains one each of Cool Gray 1, Cool Gray 2, Cool Gray 3, Cool Gray 4, Cream White, Intense Black, Ivory Black, Lamp Black, Silver White, Warm Gray 1, Warm Gray 2, and Warm Gray 3.

Sketching Selection, Set of 12 — This set contains one each of Burnt Sienna 1, Burnt Sienna 2, Burnt Sienna 3, Burnt Sienna 4, Burnt Umber 1, Burnt Umber 4, Cadmium Tangerine 2, Indian Red 3, Madder Brown 4, Vandyke Brown 1, Vandyke Brown 4, and Yellow Ochre 1.
