Dahle Hobby Rolling Trimmers are perfect for fast, simple, and accurate cutting or trimming of single or stacked paper, photos, or film. Paper is held in position by a see-through plastic clamp.
To cut in either direction, just move the plastic housing containing the rotating circular blade. The wheel is ground, self-sharpening, and replaceable. Cutting capacity is 5 sheets. Standard photo-formats are printed on the metal base. Scale bars are graduated in inches and centimeters.

Dahle paper trimmer
By art teacher
from san diego
Comments about Dahle Hobby Rolling Trimmers:
I wish I had bought it sooner and saved time trimming the art work. I'm an art teacher and I have hundreds of work to trim. This trimmer is precise to the melimeter, cut cleanly and light weight. It does not cut too well when I cut 5 sheets of construction (90lbs)paper at once. For this I go back to using the guillotine paper cutter.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great little paper cutter
from Volcano, HI
I've been using this paper cutter for years. I bought it as a starter cutter but liked it so much that I never upgraded. I originally bought it to repeatedly cut strips off of a roll of paper but now I use it to cut and trim everything. It's solid construction and metal base are very durable. I've literally made thousands of cuts and the blade is still pretty sharp (I think I might have flipped the blade around once to use the other side of it over the years). If you want to cut a very thin strip it's a good idea to flip it around so you have something to hold on to (cutting the thin piece off of the whole) because there is a plastic guard that holds the paper tightly but can slip a little if the paper doesn't stick out enough for you to hold or if you are cutting something very tiny you can temporarily remove the plastic guard but watch your fingers!

Tough to get a straight line
By Lindley Karstens
from Desert Hot Springs, CA
The machine feels solid and works smoothly. I would give it 4 stars except it's for hobbyists, and if there's one thing we hobbyists need, it's a foolproof piece of equipment even if there are no fancy bells and whistles. My complaint is that if you line up the paper to be trimmed using the measuring marks at the top and cut, you will probably have a skewed line because there isn't the teeniest edge to guide the paper after 1 1/16". So the cut tends to be higher on the right side than the left, making the line skewed further to the bottom right. I feel this is a design issue and wish the engineers had built and used a prototype before sending it off to be manufactured.

A great paper trimmer! This cutter has served me well for the past 2 years. It cuts accurately (no slipping) and also cardstock. I'm planning to upgrade to the "premium" model only because I need to cut full-sized sheets of paper and mat board. Otherwise I'd be just fine with this one!
