Da Vinci Top Acryl brushes are extra stiff and rugged. Multi-diameter construction holds and absorbs more paint and stands up to heavy body acrylics, water-soluble oils, and any type of gel or pumice mediums.
For muralists, and painters who work on a big scale, the Top Vinci Top Acryl line offers quality in big sizes. This durable fiber is suitable to outdoor mural work, a very demanding environment. Paint on a grand scale.
Top Acryl, Set of 10
Da Vinci Top Acryl Series 7185 and 7785 brushes feature extremely resistant synthetic fibers, created especially for painting with thicker colors. The set contains 10 brushes, including Series 7785 Rounds in size 1, 2, and 6, and Series 7185 Flats in size 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 16.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

Love these brushes
from Edmond, OK
Comments about Da Vinci Brushes Da Vinci Top Acryl Synthetic Long Handle Brushes:
Love the bright for acrylic painting. Very springy, holds a fine edge. I bought an 18 and liked it so much I ordered another in 20. (By the way, they're a mm or two smaller than listed.)
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Da Vinci Top Acryl Synthetic Bright:
Probably my current favorite brush for landscape painting (size 18). Stiff, but not too stiff to blend well. Holds a sharp edge for creating narrow lines and sharp edges.

spend the money, you'll feel pro results pronto
from Lakeport CA
I only didn't say "Best in its Category" because I haven't tried the total top-of-line brushes yet. As a wannabe pro painter (will I ever get there??!) I noticed an immediate jump in ability to make the paint and brush do what I wanted when I started using this one. I've been "cheaping" it with brushes that feel good in the store but quickly deteriorate with a little use but this one stays put with it's chisel edge, response, etc. Advice to anyone undecided on their painting direction but still at it after a couple years: spend an extra ten bucks and at least one (or two) pro brushes. You will feel a boost right away. Good luck.

Comments about Da Vinci Top Acryl Synthetic Filbert:
I primarily paint in oils and have been using cheap brushes for the most part. Some of them last quite a while, but most were only getting through one or two paintings before they were toast. I wanted something really nice for signing the paintings, and bought a size 1 round from the Dick Blick store in Roswell, GA last summer. I was hesitant to spend so much for one brush, because my experience in the past with brushes in this price range has been disappointing. Typically, brushes at this price were still not lasting very long and I didn't want to spend so much for a brush that I would only be able to use a few times, but I took the risk.It cleans up very easily and releases the oil paint quickly. I think this may be part of why it has lasted so long. Instead of buying handfuls of cheap brushes, I decided to buy a few more of these in my favorite shapes and sizes. If they last like my initial Da Vinci Top Acryl brush has lasted, they will be a much better value than even the cheapest alternatives.Too often oil brushes shed, lose their shape, fray, or become caked in paint no matter how carefully you clean them. I have not experienced any issues like that with this brush and even after heavy usage it is not stained and shows only minimal signs of use after seven months of service.

Da Vinci Top Acryl 7185K- Great for lifting Watercolor!
By Deb in Maui

I love these brushes (7185K) for lifting watercolor. I have four sizes and they work wonderfully for leaf veins and lifting for light. I also purchase them for other people in my Art workshop and have heard nothing but how pleased everyone is with the brushes.

Da Vinci Top Acryl Synthetic Brushes
from Madras, Ore,
I was a bit disappointed that the brushes came without any protective device for the brushes. A piece of cardboard to have them taped to would have been nice. The brushes were not damaged beyond use but the bristles were slightly bend from the pressure of the unsupported packaging.

After only a couple uses my impression is that these are good brushes. They are made in Germany and I have never had a problem with German made products. I expect these brushes to last a long time.
My go to detail brushes.
from New York
I am an illustrator. I work in a watered down acrylic style. The brushes have lasted multiple larger scaled paintings. I am very pleased! They're great for detail work because they retain their point and don't fray like other brushes.

These brushes are superb!
By Wet Coast resident

I tried these brushes years ago, and have used them ever since. When my in-town retailer stopped carrying them, I went on the hunt until I found another supplier. They are firm but flexible, hold paint well, deliver it with precision, and keep their shape and their spring despite hard usage. I use them with both oils and acrylics, for everything except fine oil blends. They have my hightest recommendation.
